The Jeddah Municipality has revealed the designs of the waterfront development project for Obhur Al Janoubia beach. The Municipality said on Twitter that the project is one of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 projects, within the initiative to humanize cities to improve the quality of life in Jeddah Governorate, and raise the per capita share of green spaces and recreational areas. She pointed out that the project consists of a sea walkway, green spaces, a bicycle path, sandy beaches, and parking lots, in addition to the Saqala Bridge, and investment buildings. According to the data available on "Numbers", the waterfront development project in Obhur began last July, as the Obhur Corniche Road was closed to those heading south for a period of 840 days. Last May, the designated Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Majid Al-Hogail, signed a contract for the implementation of the waterfront development project with the Marine Services Projects Company in Obhur Al Janoubia, Jeddah, at an amount of 229 million riyals. The project implementation period is 30 months on a development area of 180,000 square meters.
